Choral work 'As Above, So Below' in progress

Since I had my first choral piece, 'These Eyes Have Seen' performed at Dilston Grove last Summer https://youtu.be/Yl2eb9qhYjw I have been working on a Trilogy entitled 'As Above , So Below.' The 1st 2 movements, 'Offering' and 'Experience'  are written and roughly recorded, and 'Grace' is still a work in progress.

As a lover of sacred choral music and the works of Tallis, Palestrina and Purcell I am exploring this genre in a musical journey which traces the Human Condition from conception, through struggle and into grace.

This is not supposed to be an overtly religious work, although I have used some scriptural texts. However, these are merely the vehicle for the music which is to be perceived and interpreted purely individually, and may mean varying things to each listener.

I have found the writing process helpful in getting through what has frankly been a challenging start to the year 2015. As always, it is this magical alchemical process which helps me to transmute and transform the negative into something higher and lighter - a thing of beauty.
